Grant A Wish Convention Auction Item

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share some snap shots of the auction gift basket I put together for the Grant-A-Wish Doll Convention coming up in a couple of weeks.
Our entry from last year did so well for a worthy cause, I hope this one perks the interest of any Dressmaker Details fans who may be attending the convention. This year's basket includes a dressed silkstone Barbie wearing Spring Fling, two boxed fashions (Neapolitan Mix and Match and After the Ball), 2 pak fashions of A Simple Sheath, and some little extras; gloves, shoes, jewelry all in a handy cardboard suitcase.
I wanted the overall effect to be like an Easter basket, I know my 6 year old Kathryn, would love to find something like this from the Easter bunny.
Happy Bidding!

Plaid Tidings
I just got this re-shot of Plaid Tiding in from Barry, though it's a couple of days late from St. Patrick's Day, you can almost imagine her in a deserted castle on the Emerald Isle.
Though the colour changed from the original concept (fabric was NOT available, trust me I tried), the seafoam and beige is a great combination. I love the gold and seafoam mix in the sweater weaving, it makes it great for mix and matching. The beading on the skirt also adds to the glitz of the gold in the sweater.
Enjoy!

Framboises aux Chocolat
I just thought I’d share this photo with everyone. Barry re-shot this fashion on Veronique with the original version of the fashion (Chic Sheath) in the background, it’s a great composition. This chocolate brown and hot pink combo is an exclusive to My Favourite Doll in Canada and is a Limited Edition of 200pcs.
The different reflective tones you see of the pink satin under the brown chiffon are beautiful; the shocking pink really makes the difference. In Chic Sheath, black chiffon is layered over a nude satin base, creating almost the look (oddly enough) of dark brown. Both versions feature the ‘sculpta-stole’ (as I like to call it), basically we put a piece of wire in the stole, a simple idea but an amazing detail when it comes to play and display.
Enjoy,
Steven
Dinner Duo
Dinner Duo is off to a great start; both my wife Larissa and our 6 year old daughter Kathryn love it and WANT it. There choice is a human size version for each of them, but they will hopefully be happy with the 11 ½” version, that’s the best I can offer right now.
This fashion is basically two fashions in one; a great brocade evening suit with wide portrait collar and a fun party set consisting of a fuchsia camisole and a full tulle skirt. The beauty of it is you can switch out the tops or bottoms for totally different looks.
The suite jacket will have our fuchsia shank buttons, but with an added detail of hand applied rhinestones for a very chic and rich look. The ‘diamond’ details are matched in the buckle on the satin clutch.
This set should take any doll from dinner to the dance floor in a matter of minutes!
Enjoy,Steven
