Sugar Plum™ a FR convention exclusive
Since so many people have been asking if it was the same fashion from the cover of Collection III, I figured I better post a full length shot and fill everyone in with the details.
I've always wanted to do a fashion like this, very 1950's ball gown, very much the type of doodles i sketch. The fabric made the fashion, the iridescent taffeta has an amazing plum effect, so it's been sprinkled with seed beads and sequins instead of sugar. The bodice features a fitted corset styling with cups and a boned effect, it makes it a great fit on both FR and Silkstone bodies. Every layer of taffeta on the skirt is altered by multiple layers of coloured tulle all beaded by hand around every tier. The bottom tier is attached to the crinoline which helps give the gown it's shape. Dramatic long black gloves, glittered black open-toed shoes and black pearl and seed bead earrings complete the elegant ensemble. Since we'll have a masked ball at the convention I added to the design a ribbon mask of black organdy ribbon a simple yet elegant alternate to a traditional mask.
Something new you'll also see is the box, the dress was just too big for our regular fashion box, so we had to expand and enlarge it to fit. The fashion will be selling for $98 US at convention if we have any left we will post them in our on-line shop when we get back.
I look forward to seeing everyone again, I know we're going to have a great time.
Steven
