| Extra wide ribbons are sometimes hard to find and are often expensive. You can make your own wide ribbons by using fusible interfacing. Wide ribbons are great for countless projects, such as wreaths, large gifts, table runners and drapery tiebacks. |
| Materials: Assorted ribbon in various widths
Fusible interfacing tape
Iron and ironing board
|
| Technique: |
| a) Determine the pattern you want to create (colours, textures etc) Thinner ribbons (such as satin and taffeta) work best for this project. |
| b) Iron the fusible tape onto the back of the top layer of ribbons following the manufacturer’s directions. |
| c) Place the top layer of ribbons onto the bottom layer and now press the two layers together. |
